NLL 2024-25 Week 19 Preview

All 7 games on deck for week 19 of the 2024-25 NLL season

Evan Schemenauer over at Lacrosse Culture Daily did an excellent job explaining how 11 teams make or miss the postseason over the next three weeks, saving me from having to pretend to be Dr. Strange in the last Marvel movie I saw. Spider-man? I don’t remember.

I do remember that the Swarm are wearing their Marvel-themed (Spider-man) uniforms this weekend, as they welcome the win-or-go-home Wings to town. Philadelphia has the easiest path to elimination — lose again, and those playoff dreams are pipe. Toronto and Albany also need to win out and get some help, but they’re not automatically eliminated unless other teams win. It gets complicated fast; read Schemenauer’s article. After you read this one on all seven games in week 19 of the 2024-25 National Lacrosse League regular season.

That’s good SEO right there. Bury the key words at the end of the second paragraph. Professional as hell.

14 teams play seven games across three days, capping off with the Rock at Desert Dogs on Sunday afternoon. The top of the NLL standings are almost crystalline; all that’s left to figure out is who’s first overall. The middle of the standings are muddier, with six teams hovering on one side or the other of .500 ball. This weekend either wipes the mud away or throws more detritus in it.

Here’s how this works: I’ll tell you the matchups, the results of their five most recent contests (if applicable), top three scorers on each team, probable starting netminders, and team offensive and defensive shift stats as slash lines (S%/SOG%/E%) (offense on the left, defense on the right). All stats are based off my work for this site.

This is intended to be bare bones, quick and easy content to get you caught up before the weekend’s games. No analysis or storylines, just the stats.

If you’re in the US, all games are available on ESPN+; if you’re in Canada, you can catch the games on the TSN app or NLLplus.com.

Here’s what’s ahead.
